Godfather?


My bestest friend in whole world (Corey) sent me a text message today asking if I would be the godfather of his version 2.0 that was born a couple weeks ago.

I accepted without really thinking about what it means. I thought about googling for it to see how others define it but I thought I would put out the definition for general comment. Any idea what it means to be a godfather? John said it involves giving gifts for appropriate events. Anything else?

It almost makes me feel like a responsible adult. I wonder if that means Corey thinks I am a responsible adult. Are any of the readers godparents?
